He holds a Bachelor of Laws Decree (LLB) and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. He a Managing Partner of Leadman, a position he has held since January 2025.

He has wide experience in Land law practice, Commercial transitions, Employment law, Persoal Injury cases, Real estate law and advisory and other diverse areas of legal practice.

He has actively worked in the legal industry since September, 2017 when he completed his Diploma in Legal Practice at the Law Development Centre-Uganda and has since amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience accrued from both specialized and general legal practice cutting across Land law, Company law, Employment law, Electoral Petions among other fields of law.

He has participated in litigation and case management for 8 (8) years. In 2022, Stephen facilitated a merger and acquisition transaction in Safe Tech Security company Ltd which saw the company assume new shareholding, vibe and a fresh growth trajectory. Stephen is also a Community lawyer who engages in occasional community lawyering initiatives by offering pro bono/ free legal services to indigent persons.

• She manages budgets, handles accounts payable and receivable, and overseeing payroll and benefits to the firm employees.
• She assists with the recruitment, training and evaluating staff performance.
• She liaises with clients, court staffs, external/opposite lawyers and handles clients’ inquiries.
• She ensures compliance with legal regulations and maintaining confidentiality of client information.

Prior to joining Leadman Advocates, Ian worked as a Legal Assistant at Rutebemberwa & Co. Advocates where he gained practical exposure to legal research, case preparation and client representation. He completed his clerkship with the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the Administrator General’s Office further strengthening his foundation in both civil and criminal. Over time Ian has developed a strong reputation for delivering practical, client focused legal solutions.
